Pros

I joined Clutter as a customer service specialist for a summer, before leaving for a salaried role in product. I was working in operations not product. - Startup culture. everyone is young, super hardworking, things move fast, and people’s positions definitely shifted + you could wear different hats if there was need, like help out in different departments such as claims or dispatch - Free catered lunches and kitchen snacks was super nice - Learned a lot about problem-solving on the spot - A good place to get your feet wet if you're starting your career

Cons

- High turnover rate. People were fired all the time, which gave me the sense that there was a hire big and fast, natural selection kind of culture - Amazon culture. 3 strikes to be terminated - people were docked for being 1 minute late, and your lunch had to be exactly 30 minutes. It was honestly stressful, way more intense than I’ve ever experienced. - Little room for career advancement. if you’re hoping to advance your career in product and tech, this position is not it. there was a very clear divide - where there was even 2 offices. A few were able to become a project manager but only after staying many, many years - you’re better off at other companies that’ll get you there faster - Unstable. Type of role will be automated and replaced in x years; plus, with layoffs, you’d probably be aimed first

Pros

Weekly paychecks, remote work experience, and accessibility to other departments

Cons

The CEO stepped down on my 2nd day of the job and the company was frequently changing its service offerings. My morals were questioned more often than not and I felt sleazy selling their services.
