The company takes a very heavy top-down approach to how it operates. Therefore even the most innovative ideas and suggestions are often overlooked for whatever management wants. The workplace isn't conducive to team interaction and generally just lends itself to employees showing up, doing the bare minimum, and leaving. Add to that the fact that there is a huge discrepancy between how teams are viewed and treated within the company. If you're in sales, you're essentially free to do as you wish. If you're not in sales, you're micromanaged and often treated as less-than by sales and executive teams. Salaries are a joke. Unless you come in at the bottom, growth is non-existent.
The company has not tried to define it's own niche, but rather just adopted a 30 year old model and called it a day.
