Pros

The office, other researchers, the pay

Cons

Falsely advertised research role - I did not go to university and study a Real Estate degree to sit in front of a screen and make calls to agents everyday to ask 'is this still available'. Nor did I aspire to work in a role where I sit and copy and paste brochures all day and then get scored on how well I've done it. STOP hiring young educated people and tricking them into a job they think is going to be an amazing opportunity - there is 0% chance of career progression. Being asked to write fake reviews - yes - completely true!! We are asked to write fake reviews on glassdoor when we join. So any positive reviews you see on here are most likely fake as everyone I speak to hates working here. Management - Managers often sit in rooms together for a gossip, including one HR member HR - Unapproachable and rude. I'm sure senior HR are unaware of what really goes on Unrealistic stats - Calling people for no reason, just as long as you make as many calls as possible you are praised. New rule is that the system picks up on key words for the call to count - yet none of us have been told what they are??? Lack of communication - Metrics change all the time and we will not be informed until we're told we're not hitting them. You'll then be threatened with performance review or the sack No job security - you are always 4 weeks away from getting sacked. They'll find a reason if they don't like you

Thanks for your review. At CoStar Group, we're proud to offer competitive salaries to our employees. It’s also great to hear you enjoy working with your colleagues and your office. Our goal is to build our team with high-achieving, smart and driven people who bring their best to work every day. Establishing a sense of camaraderie within our teams is very important to us. Please know that we want every employee to be engaged with and enjoy their role. We recognize that research is not made for everyone, however our metrics are carefully designed to help researchers excel while delivering accurate and timely information to our clients. Based on what you've expressed, it sounds like this isn’t a great fit, and we’d encourage you to speak with your manager about your concerns so together you can plan a positive path forward. Additionally, our leadership is committed to providing the appropriate information, tools and resources needed to succeed at CoStar Group. If there are specific issues that you can speak to regarding your management team, please email us at HRdepartment@costar.com so we can learn more. We would appreciate any further details you can provide so we can use this as an opportunity to improve your experience as part of our team, as well as the experience of new hires who join our company. Lastly, we always encourage our employees to provide feedback; it's why we regularly survey employees about engagement, communication, IT tools, etc. Whether it's through a survey or a platform like Glassdoor, feedback is important so we can gauge what we're doing right and identify areas for improvement. That said, we do not ask - nor will we ask - employees to leave positive reviews. Employees are encouraged to leave whatever feedback, positive or negative, they deem important to share with us.

Pros

I worked for Homes.com - Great first job out of college to learn a lot about sales and can make good money in the first 3 months - FIND PEOPLE THAT HAVE DONE THIS JOB AND HAVE LEFT AND FIGURE OUT WHY CUZ THEY'LL TELL YOU

Cons

I worked for Homes.com - You're doing 3 jobs in one and the pay does not reflect that - it is churn and burn. The average tenure here is 7 months - Management doesn't know what's going on 3/4 of the time. It is all up to the CEO and he's on his private jet more than 3/4 of the time
