Pros
The health insurance was not bad.
Cons
Hamster wheel: an activity that involves someone being busy all the time but never achieving anything important or reaching the end of a task. That is work at costar. Every month is the same thing, except that management got more and more down your throat, metrics changed and additional constant monitoring. I worked my butt off, working during lunch, coming in early to set my day up, and nothing ever came of it except false promises. Oh and you started getting punished if you came in early, even if you weren’t actually working, just setting up your space. You were yelled at if you were sitting at your desk before 7:55am. Once covid hit, you could really tell how little costar cares about its employees. Finally working from home I felt like “okay this job could become bearable”…wrong! They made it a living hell! They monitored us to extreme levels, doing anything other then sitting at your desk for 9 straight hours was punishable and impossible! Even a hour and a half lunch break to go to a doctors appointment was nearly impossible and extremely fronded upon. They wanted you to take vacation time (and not work past 5). I was giving many additional tasks outside of my metrics and above my pay grade and it never lead to anything like managers promised. The metrics are so silly! You had to cheat to make them…and EVERYBODY DID! The more metrics the put on the worst the information got because there was no way to do it, especially the honest way. Was not enough time in the day and overtime was a huge no-no! Andy is the biggest rich snob who is totally unaware of how to speak with his employees!
