Pros

They are willing to hire you with little to no experience, which is a rarity these days. You will gain some knowledge about commercial real estate, the terminology, and rates. Additionally, you get to make some connection within real estate that can help you if you decide to leave.

Cons

Maybe it has changed, but management was worried sole about meeting quota, and not doing much else except gossip. If you were really good at your job, You wouldn't get promoted, because they needed you to do that job, If you were average and played the suck-up game then you would be promoted. Raises were meager, and the mark for receiving a bonus was constantly moved.

CoStar Group Response
11y
We are pleased to say that within the last year many practices have been put into place to avoid any of the complaints you mention. We look to help our employees who are interested in being promoted to a managerial role to develop the skills they need to effectively manage former peers, as well as bringing their exceptional skills from their previous position to the table. The quarterly bonus in research has set guidelines, ultimately determined by the individual’s manager and approved by the director and above, and yearly compensation increases or raises for promotion are determined by a number of factors and clearly communicated to each individual.

Pros

I worked for Homes.com - Great first job out of college to learn a lot about sales and can make good money in the first 3 months - FIND PEOPLE THAT HAVE DONE THIS JOB AND HAVE LEFT AND FIGURE OUT WHY CUZ THEY'LL TELL YOU

Cons

I worked for Homes.com - You're doing 3 jobs in one and the pay does not reflect that - it is churn and burn. The average tenure here is 7 months - Management doesn't know what's going on 3/4 of the time. It is all up to the CEO and he's on his private jet more than 3/4 of the time
