Pros

Good Benefits and growing ambitious company

Cons

Overly ambitious in growth to the detriment of disorganized, over worked and disconnected management, which in turn affects the morale and progress of lower level employees. Can be unprofessional. Horrible hiring practices. There is training, but it is not previously explained how strenuous and demanding it is in such a short period of time. Cutting corners to cram a large amount of information. Also AFTER one is hired it is explained that you must pass tests and such to KEEP your job. during this training. This is such an unorthodox method and ineffective. Also all the training is like cold calling people in the industry in which who wants to give up that kind of personal and confidential information that this company is asking for? It's a lure of benefits and pay, but creates a very stressful environment not setting one up for success. People do make it , but they either hate it or not. Really in the end to each their own in choosing this company. It was NOT a fit for me.

CoStar Group Response

I’m sorry to hear CoStar Group was not a great fit for you. Our training processes for Research and Sales are designed to give newly hired employees the skills they need in order to start their role, and details of the training process is explained at the time the position is offered. The training process also helps to determine whether the job is a good fit for the employee – both for them and for us as a company. The training process does include a lot of information in a few weeks, but it is at a speed similar to what the day-to-day job requires. For those that do not complete training, we wish them the best and hope they find the job best suited for them.

Pros

I worked for Homes.com - Great first job out of college to learn a lot about sales and can make good money in the first 3 months - FIND PEOPLE THAT HAVE DONE THIS JOB AND HAVE LEFT AND FIGURE OUT WHY CUZ THEY'LL TELL YOU

Cons

I worked for Homes.com - You're doing 3 jobs in one and the pay does not reflect that - it is churn and burn. The average tenure here is 7 months - Management doesn't know what's going on 3/4 of the time. It is all up to the CEO and he's on his private jet more than 3/4 of the time
