Job security, medical insurance, dental insurance, optional additional vision & life insurance, 457 deferred comp in lieu of 401k

Cons

Not a lot of room for advancement - you can move forward when the person ahead of you does or they retire, upper level advancement is based on who you already know - not your qualifications, things are the way they are because that is how it's always been - when changes are made it may be counter-productive.
