Pros

Things ran well back when I first started with many systems in place to make sure that products were completed in a timely and efficient manner in accordance to customer needs. These programs are still in place and would be a great asset if they were still utilized instead of dropped the moment management decides they're inconvenient. Clean facility. Usually the top priority of the Vice President of Manufacturing, valuing showing off the building to potential customers over effectively overseeing day to day operations. Decent benefits. Company buys pizza for employees every once in a while to celebrate achievements.

Cons

Poor management. There is a certain management style in play here and most higher ups who aren't "part of the club" tend to disappear after a while. Our inventory management is atrocious and most hourly employees are plagued constantly with part shortages and lack of work. Many spend their days in fear of being caught having nothing to work on and scolded for this and as a result, many milk the tasks they're given or do their hardest to avoid management. As a result of this inventory problem, the company barely makes their required numbers each week and late deliveries are pretty frequent. We've have numerous layoffs in the last several weeks and no improvement in the way we handle our day to day operations. I feel that if the company wasn't under the Coghlin umbrella, it would've gone belly up by now. The bizarre thing with these problems is that the company pushes for insane amounts of overtime when we do have something to work on. There are weeks where there is nothing to do for the majority of the day and suddenly when things fall into place you have to stay late to make up for the lack of productivity - only to reappear it again with nothing to do the next day because you were here the night before. It's beyond frustrating. Too many chiefs, not enough Indians. Several of the aforementioned "club members" have all been elevated to leadership positions and there is an abundance of supervisors to cover a relatively small workforce. Many of these leads do very little aside from sit at their computer or rattle the cages when things aren't looking too good and productivity is suffering. There is almost zero communication between these people and if you were to spend a day watching how things transpired around here, you'd soon realize it's because the wrong people are put in charge and are unwilling to lift a finger, shrugging off responsibility or dumping it on the next person they come in contact with. The company also "doesn't believe in giving out annual raises". Cross your fingers you start at a decent rate or do your absolute hardest and they may toss you a crumb every couple of years.

Pros

Friendly co-workers and okay working conditions. Monthly activities seemed fun, but I never participated in them.

Cons

I had a horrible experience here. No mentoring from direct manager, felt very left out. It was a very unfriendly and cold environment. Old school 'big boys' club. Still sick to my stomach when I think about my experience.
