Pros

Seems like C-level leadership realizes they need to make improvements based on employee feedback/review. Have received opportunities for modest professional growth within the company over the years.

Cons

Have instituted annual reviews for employees but despite the fact that people are putting in 50+ hour weeks, going above & beyond and jumping through internal and systematic hoops to make daily/weekly/monthly shipments still get “meets expectations” on reviews. Also told right before the review that they are not associated with any raises... so don’t expect one Areas that CLEARLY need help don’t get it for some reason. Leadership refuses to hire people to fix issues seen day-in day-out for months. It was great reading that our health benefits do NOT meet federal standards as well. $9,000 family health insurance deductible is offset some by reimbursement program to bring it back to $4,500 but they are going in the wrong direction from a bad starting point.

Thank you for your feedback. We take the views of our associates very seriously, and as you've stated, we're working on improvements that will have a positive impact on the Caring Associate experience at the Coghlin Companies. We'd love the opportunity to share more about the Performance Review process, including how we've trained our Caring Associates to complete performance reviews, what the scores mean and how to calibrate them, how to use the process to develop associates into future leaders, and more. If you are interested in speaking with someone directly, please contact us at HR@coghlincompanies.com. Regarding your feedback about the health benefits and deductibles: We take health benefits very seriously, and work throughout the year to ensure we provide the most value for the lowest cost for all Caring Associates. While you are correct that the deductibles went up this past year, we effectively negated that increase with what is called a Health Reimbursement Account (HRA). This HRA asks associates to contribute the same amount as last year toward their deductible ($2000/$4000 - credible coverage) and then the company picks up the rest of the deductible by sending you a check for the difference. Most of the time, the check arrives before you even see your bill. Using this HRA, we were able to keep not only the deductible at the same amount as last year, but monthly premium costs as well. This is a complex topic, but please contact us at HR@coghlincompanies.com if you are interested in discussing this further. Thanks again for your feedback. We hope, at the very least, that you know that we welcome feedback from our Caring Associates and are working hard to improve their experience on all fronts. Please contact us if you would like to discuss any of your concerns in greater detail. Thank you, and have a great day!

Pros

Friendly co-workers and okay working conditions. Monthly activities seemed fun, but I never participated in them.

Cons

I had a horrible experience here. No mentoring from direct manager, felt very left out. It was a very unfriendly and cold environment. Old school 'big boys' club. Still sick to my stomach when I think about my experience.
