Simple job, poor management - Server ( Casual ) Cogir Senior Living Employee Review

Pros

The job itself is not that hard. Breakfast is easy and most residents get the same meal everyday. Union benefits and the salary is slightly above minimum wage.

Cons

What makes it slightly difficult is that the management is poor and so is the training. Often your coworkers will expect you to know everything even if you're new. The other staff also make it difficult and they change their policies frequently. Not stable, esp. if you're casual.

Pros

The pay is higher than most in this is area

Cons

Everyone knows each other from other facilities. They ignore the concerns of the caregivers/med techs if they arent part of the favorited circle. They never did an orientation and then force you out the door once you have a medical limitation. The RCC is a joke. The hr lady is another issue she acts like shes better than you when the ed isnt around and then all nicey nice when the ed is aroud. I would never recommend this place to work. They expect us to take care of all residents without a 10 minute break because there is no time cause the ratio between staff and residents is not equal to where we would be able to. But forced to take a 45 minute meal break. And if we are 1 minute late getting to work we get yelled at, but not not able to clockin early.
