Pros
The experience that you gain from this internship is almost unmatchable. You start right out giving estimates in people's homes after maybe only seeing your manager doing it a few times. It's scary but it really does push you.
Cons
The interns that do well (those that get lots of leads, book a lot of estimates, close a lot of sales, etc.) are the ones that managers spend more time with and pay more attention to. Not to mention, these are the interns that get to go on trips that the others don't. You can call it motivation, but if you're struggling, they make it really hard to get back up and do better. And one last thing--I worked from 6am to 6pm most days in the summer and barely made any money.
