Pros

Danish CEO & leaders are excellent. (US management, not so much unfortunately).

Cons

Sadly, a culture of fear has developed (in the US) since new management was installed a few years ago. Became unclear if it was a workplace or a season of “Survivor.” US Chronic Care leader verbatim plagiarized (w/o credit) some Silicon Valley ‘thought leadership’ garble, put it on a PowerPoint slide, and proudly announced “this is our culture” … like a consulting robot with no actual ideas. A culture of fear was bred that trickled down, and frontline managers suffer for it. The US subsidiary has shed so many talented people recently due to toxicity, and new mid-level leaders who will throw anyone into a meat-grinder to pass blame if given an accurate read on something that doesn’t fit the narrative they want to hear, or tell upwards. Like the Russian Government, a yes-people culture develops as everyone is afraid to share bad news, even if it’s simply true and not anyone’s particular fault. Accurate reporting is stifled, which just makes it worse. The air cultivated like everything could collapse tomorrow is completely incongruous with this insanely high-growth & high-margin business. The misery was saddening - never used to be like that.

Pros

At Coloplast, one of the key strengths is its global scale and diversified portfolio across multiple divisions. The company is particularly well established and highly respected in the ostomy space, with strong brand recognition and a solid reputation among clinicians and healthcare systems

Cons

Limited access to key contracts within the Advanced Wound Care (AWD/WTR) segment, creating barriers to growth and competitiveness * Product pricing not consistently aligned with perceived clinical value or market positioning * Ongoing quality concerns reported with foam dressings, impacting confidence in the portfolio * Lack of visible acknowledgment or accountability from leadership regarding field challenges * Perception of misalignment between field feedback and leadership response, with concerns not always addressed transparently * Limited cross-functional support for sales teams; heavy reliance on field reps to gather insights without sufficient internal analytical or evidence-based backing * Missed opportunities to provide structured, data-driven support to strengthen customer conversations and value messaging
