      It all depends where you end up working. Lots of research money. Lots of different research groups. Make sure you check with the people working there before you sign up.

      Cons

      The postdoc status is not very well regulated but that is a problem that is more global. Vacation is whatever you negotiate yourself. Your work schedule, the same thing.

      fort collins is a beautiful city with tons of easily accessible outdoor recreation. the characterization facilities are currently going through needed upgrades

      course-load can feel somewhat limited. certain research advisors could benefit from HR training
