Pros
Professors are helpful and vastly knowledgeable. The culture is relaxed and easygoing, but standards are high. Provides good help with job opportunities and you grow not only educationally, but in personal maturity as well.
Cons
Some departments are not as research oriented. Some professors lack research motivation and ingenuity. Grad student pay is pretty low, inter-departmental collaboration is still stunted and in the beginning stages. Not enough funding in some areas.
