Pros

In general, the people who work at CSU are dedicated to providing a quality education for students at a lower cost than many of its competitor institutions. In my experience people are happy to help and make time for one another and the work environment is positive. Benefits like health care and retirement are generous compared to private sector work and there are important perks like being able to take credits for free as an employee.

Cons

CSU's wages are not keeping pace with the cost of living in a booming town like Fort Collins. The university is aware of this, but a lot of the strategies they're pursuing (such as subsidized worker housing) aren't as responsive as they need to be to meet immediate needs.
