Pros

Management generally prefers keeping customers satisfied as a means to growing our relationship rather than always pushing for sales. The bank has good management and likes to hire from within

Cons

The incentive program recently changed, drastically reducing my overall incentive pay. The system also feels quite convoluted - it is hard to tell how my sales activity translates to incentive pay. Back office support departments have good people in them, but a good number of apathetic or over-worked individuals who seem less than willing to help the customer facing staff. At times dealing with complex issues I would reach out for help and be told to "look it up" in our procedures manual - a manual which often didn't have the specific information I needed

Pros

Columbia Banking System has been a great place to work for thus far. The environment is enjoyable and the company itself is virtuous.

Cons

There is quite a bit of downtime in-between customers, but this is also a pro because it means there is ample opportunity to get more customers through the door and banking with us.

Pros

Great People, generous Vacation and Sick time, and decent facilities.

Cons

Poor communication from leadership. Typical "Good ol' Boys Club" type politics, and too many convoluted policies and procedures to keep up. Hard workers are awarded with more work, while others are allowed to skate by under the radar.
