Pros

Schedule is flexible. They have an app where you can see clients, their address, days they need care-giving, and how many hours the shift is

Cons

They have an employee who does the scheduling and she has poor communication skills. She's also unprofessional and will tell your personal business to other employees. When you bring up these issues to the owner, he just blames the caregiver and makes no attempt to talk to the office employee. Owners are also very cheap. They limit your weekly hours so they don't have to pay overtime and they refuse to fire you so you're unable to collect unemployment. Owners have no respect for their caregivers and do not care about their safety. When the pandemic first happened and we were on lockdown, one of the day caregivers got COVID. Instead of telling all the other day/night caregivers so we can take extra precautions, they kept silent for 3 weeks. They are also very secretive which did not sit right with me.

Pros

Supportive company environment in terms of hours, as well as your safety and needs when supporting clients. Provides opportunities for certification, with the administration/management team willing to meet you where you are at in terms of part-time/full-time work/flexibility

Cons

No benefits, limited upward mobility; good place to start if you are beginning to work with patients however.
