Role stacking for low pay - Guidance Consultant ComPsych Employee Review

Pros

Remote work Decent schedule if you can get the 9:30-5:30; mind you, some departments you also take calls for close by 4:30pm so if you have a later schedule, you can't transfer but have to complete intake for those and schedule an appointment, like the legal dept of circa 3 people of which only 1 takes appointments.

Cons

Back to back calls; Too many roles all combined into one position so, apart from providing immediate crisis counseling and safety planning (this job requiring an MA in counseling at minimum), you are also an intake for several other departments that don't have their own intake lines, between your regular more customer service calls matching people with available in-network therapists in their area or correcting prior matches; corporate representative callers require a completely different service that you also are the intake line for, somehow. No LPC-A supervision provided and you're unlikely to be able to use this job to gather licensure hours as it's so all over the place in terms of the roles you serve. You're not a therapist or a devoted crisis line but you're also not a straight forward customer service rep, so you kind of get the worst of both worlds

Pros

Very stable employer with many opportunities for learning and growth. Ability to work fully-remote and employer provides the necessary technology for you. Full benefits and perks provided at service anniversaries.

Cons

Like most employer now PTO is limited to start, but is more generous later.

Pros

I have spent many years in many different organizations. I can honestly say that I feel more at home at Compsych than anywhere else in my career. The work brings me into contact with peers who are extremely helpful and kind. Upper levels of management are approachable and interested in suggestions and the success of the employees. I am very happy to be spending my years before retirement in such an environment.

Cons

Contact with the public, of course, has drawbacks. There can be people who are very, very difficult to deal with. I am trying to learn how to let it go and move on.
