Pros
Free cable/internet was nice, although it’s really so they don’t need to pay you more.
Cons
Extremely low pay. “Competitive salary” is code for paying you the lowest they can get away with in your industry. They say “total rewards” as a way of explaining away the low pay, as if they’re giving you a lot in return (basic stuff like health insurance etc,). Comcast is AGGRESIVELY anti-union and now I understand why; I’m making more money (77k) as a frontline tech support agent at a unionized company (Verizon) than I did as a supervisor at Comcast. Excelling at all your metrics? Doesn’t matter, the annual increases don’t change based on performance. Oh, and it doesn’t matter how long you’ve been there (16+ years in my case), you will get laid off by someone you’ve never met.
