Cons
The pay was pretty low, "raises" are measured in cents if you are lucky enough to get one... the work is very physically demanding, digging trenches, climbing ladders, crawling around in attics or under people's homes. You end your 12+ hour day dirty and reeking. You're over booked everyday and will barely have time to go to the bathroom or get lunch. As others have said no matter how good you are at this job the 'metrics' set you up for failure since most of it is out of your control (you go fix the cable but then homeowner cuts the line with his mower a month later and they ding you with a 'repeat' call). Guys who tried hard to be good at the job and were customer focused were treated the worst but somehow the lazy people who were friends with management basically did what they wanted everyday and stayed around for years doing the bare minimum.
