Pros

Free food off the breakfast bar, stayed for free during snow (but was forced to share a room one time with a coworker I barely knew)

Cons

I worked in housekeeping for 2 months (the housekeeping manager was rude and more than likely stole tips, since she checked the rooms first) and then was brought up front to learn Front Desk and to be a Breakfast Attendant. Pay was the same for all 3 position! I was not trained properly, and thrown to the wolves. The manager was a hateful lady who only spoke to you when she telling you that you did something wrong. Overall, the company is very cheap and don't value employees. I could write a book, but summarize: Choice Hotel's system is online and went down all the time, low pay, little to no hours, minimum training, my hours were cut, and given to the son of the man who owns the lodging company that ran this Comfort Inn, no maintenance worker there on weekends, dealing with truck drivers and construction workers who have company contracts to stay there, rude management in general

Pros

The housekeeping supervisor is a great guy. Very personable and easy to talk to. He is also very dedicated to the job and sets the bar high for customer service.

Cons

The owners do not value their employees. Low wages and lack of tips make the position very discouraging. There are never enough sheet sets or towels to replenish the rooms and housekeepers end up hiding towels from each other just to get their job done. One dryer is down and the part to fix it has been sitting in the office for over a month. However, the owners could care less about sending someone to repair it. Meanwhile, we go hours waiting for towels and sheets to dry. What could possibly be a decent position is made more difficult by greedy, uncaring owners.
