Pros
Love working in hotel operations and management and working with the guests. Most Comfort Inns are very nice and I would give them a high rating. I love to brag on great businesses and people, and it is unusual for me to give a bad rating publicly for anyone or any business, but this location is already out of business so I feel more free to share the reality.
Cons
Unfortunately, this hotel location was so bad that they eventually lost their franchise license. Too cheap to keep up necessary maintenance or do repairs correctly the first time, resulting in repeated breakdowns (a/c, heat, malfunctioning locks, etc.), which resulted in repeated unhappy guests for the same problems. Hotel lost so much business because of this I could not even begin to estimate the staggering loss of income. Also, there was rampant theft from employees AND management. There were thousands of dollars in unpaid invoices due to disorganized paperwork and invoices. I am the one that discovered and reported the theft and unpaid invoices. I was told by several employees that they were pushed to steal because the pay was so low and the hotel was constantly cheating them out of their pay and refusing to pay their overtime. Constantly understaffed because good employees would very quickly see how bad it was and leave, leaving the rest of us working double shifts and scrambling to cover shifts for front desk and housekeeping. Although I worked hard to improve these situations, I eventually deemed it a losing battle and left the hotel. It was no surprise to me when they lost their franchise.
