Pros

I work full time at Comfort Inn & Suites, second shift. You check people in, make sure your guests are satisfied, and do everything you can to make them feel at home. I LOVE my regulars here, they buy me food and keep me company. It is an overall easy job, I love working solo and I spend a lot of my time on Facebook or Netflix. Fridays and weekends are crazy, but make the time go by fast. I'd stay here forever if I could. Management is great, very friendly and helpful when you have problems.

Cons

Oh, the pay... If only the pay was higher. Also don't get any health benefits, and I work on Thanksgiving and Christmas with NO time and half... just the same pay rate. Also really no room to advance in your career.

Pros

The housekeeping supervisor is a great guy. Very personable and easy to talk to. He is also very dedicated to the job and sets the bar high for customer service.

Cons

The owners do not value their employees. Low wages and lack of tips make the position very discouraging. There are never enough sheet sets or towels to replenish the rooms and housekeepers end up hiding towels from each other just to get their job done. One dryer is down and the part to fix it has been sitting in the office for over a month. However, the owners could care less about sending someone to repair it. Meanwhile, we go hours waiting for towels and sheets to dry. What could possibly be a decent position is made more difficult by greedy, uncaring owners.
