Pros

The clients are good people simply looking for companionship.

Cons

I only worked for this company for a few months because it is poorly managed. 1. Employees are not compensated for any mileage - this is something that the employee needs to seek reimbursement for when filing taxes although you are not considered a contactor to the business. 2. Although promised a pay increase after the 90 day probationary period, the increase does not occur. 3. The office lost my W-4 and I9 form which contains information that can easily lead to identity theft - social security number, address, dob, driver's license information. They never apologized for losing the paperwork and aside from asking me to come in to complete the paperwork again, they don't own their mistake. 4. As a CK employee, you are "expected" to take additional online training - UNPAID. It is done on your personal down time, using your own internet without any compensation. 5. Lastly, don't expect any sort of support from the owner(s)... they take on the role as a victim if you voice your concerns or opinion and will make remarks that they feel you are verbally attacking them. I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for decent pay or benefits. You would make more money and be treated with more respect if you worked for a grocery store, convenience store, being a waitress, etc.

Pros

Great pay and benefit opportunities. The message of the company is good and the owners are incredibly welcoming. They provided all the equipment and were quick to get you whatever you needed.

Cons

The office environment was extremely toxic. It was very "cliche" with everyone saying awful things about each other. Yelling, slamming and throwing things was a regular occurrence. The lack of empathy towards the clients as well as caregivers was abhorrent. The training was lackluster with the view of corrective action instead of preventive action with mistakes. I was constantly ignored or snapped at when asking questions. After spending a day training at another office, I fully believe the toxicity is centered around this one office in particular and does not translate over to the other offices.
