Pros
The company itself offers so many resources to the community. The love, empathy and compassion they contribute to each person they serve can be a huge foundation of success for those struggling. They also have a lot of growth opportunities within the company.
Cons
When it comes to crisis that comes up when working with clients it can be difficult to receive proper support. If you have not been there in the time that would provide you time off from FMLA— you are expected to just continue working. As social workers in the community this can be the difference between being able to stay and serve your community and having to make the choice to leave. They do offer employee therapy support and ironically crisis classes regarding employee self-care but seemed to be lacking with the follow through of that. Hopefully that has changed with time though!
