Pros

Generally well treated and feel appreciated. Leadership is mostly solid and competent. Less toxic environment than UCHealth and other competing systems. Pay is decent but Intermountain is paying better these days. Career advancement

Cons

We improve the quality and save lives every day. Our health insurance options and health benefits should rival the likes of Amazon, Google, Apple, and worst case even other major health systems… THEY DONT. We have United Healthcare which has been empirically proven to be the worst health insurance company in the US. Vision and dental are bad too. What 3rd world health system is leadership and HR benchmarking against? Our business is healthcare, we should have the best. Other reviews mentioned it and I find it infuriating that new RNs have to wait 30 days for insurance to kick in but MDs are effective on day 1. Our health insurance premiums and out of pocket expenses when seeing IN NETWORK healthcare providers is HORRID, even with the best plan available! How is it that we have worse insurance than many of the patients that come in the door?

Pros

Good pay, decent management, flexible scheduling while in school and overall healthy work environment

Cons

There is no rotation for PRN staff to be put on call, meaning you will always be the first they put on. Additionally, if you're not used to working with 12+ patients at a time, this isn't the place for you as they like to load us up instead of bringing in more techs and nurses.
