Pros

Commonwealth Cares giving back program, and some of the people. Bagel Friday's were nice and professional development courses were great if your job allows you to attend.

Cons

Very low pay, not a good work life balance. Little time off for new employees. Lots of patting themselves on the back but not really caring about the individuals. They are all talk and no action in a lot of areas.

Thanks for sharing your insights on working at Commonwealth. We’re sorry to hear your experience wasn’t a great one. This isn’t the first time we’ve heard about the challenges some departments have in making time for professional development—particularly when your job has you on a phone queue. To address this concern, we are offering more and more desktop-based e-learnings, and are looking into micro-learning platforms that would provide a convenient way to dip in and out of lessons. Lastly, we know those hallway snubs you speak of. They happen all too often—and it’s definitely not just the partners. More often than not, folks in the hallways are rushing from one meeting to the next—or caught in deep thought while pouring a cup of coffee. Indeed, a little eye contact and a smile goes a long way. Thanks for the reminder!
