Pros

The patients are the reason why I continue to work for (CHN).

Cons

I worked for (CHN) for over a decade. Since working there my mental health declined along with other staffs. Management put unrealistic goals on certain staffs, especially if you're black. They find ways to target certain staffs to get them quit so they don't have to pay out unemployment benefits. Management runs it like a revolving door of staffs. People are happy to work for (CHN) in the first six months, most staffs starts to realize management do not care about how they treat you. If you suffering from mental illness, I do not recommend working for (CHN). This place will push you to cut your risk. (CHN) only cares about quantity and not quality of their patients and staffs.

Pros

-Clinics are clean and have an overall calm energy. -You get to work directly with underserved populations. -One day remote per week. -Training opportunities (but come with time worked requirements). -Good salary compared to other community mental health clinics.

Cons

-BHTs are expected to schedule 40 patients a week. -Every open slot has to be filled, or it will be filled for you via the MOS or screener. -Only 90 mins of admin time alotted per week. -Sessions are booked back to back all day. -Upper management constantly pushes productivity requirements despite majority of clinician’s feeling burnt out. -Many offices are very small and without windows. This can become a problem when sitting there for the entire day seeing patients back to back.
