1. There is a clash between the management and the union. So much up to the point where all communication quickly becomes hostile as it becomes a versus thing. 2. Management does not want to acknowledge employees with higher skillset and/or expertise, as it endangers their established pride and position. 3. CEO is one of the highest paid in CA, and the employees are THE lowest paid in CA as of this writing. That speaks a lot for itself. 4. The management has no idea on principles of good leadership at all. They will gang up and use fear and threaten with non-subordination any time they feel they are legitimately challenged by the lower ones. 5. When they do, the only way you can defend yourself is email evidence and you are at the mercy of the union, as that is the only 'side' that can help you. 6. There is no Personnel Commission, therefore there is no employee recognition, let alone any plans to retain good ones. 7. There is no upward mobility at all. If an employee wishes to apply for a management position, they would have to betray the union and smear their way into the CEO insider club. 8. 50% of the workforce is African American. Therefore, expect to face some exclusion if you are not. There is no diversity.
