Pros
- Great health insurance and retirement benefits. - Great programs with an opportunity to lead projects. - The communities/ groups we serve. - Growth opportunities if you're fresh out of school.
Cons
- Used to be an org that focused on staff well-being. The new leadership has more of an 'I am your boss so you will do as I say' approach instead of being a leader. She has replaced the environment of trust, transparency, and growth with fear and micromanagement. - It no longer feels like they care about employee satisfaction and growth. You are now treated as a mere employee and constantly reminded that you are easily replaceable and should be grateful to have a job. - The CEO encourages you to voice your concerns, but when you do, immediately shuts you down or picks fights in all staff meetings to prove you wrong. - Advertises work-life balance but you should expect to work more than 40 hours on a regular basis. - For an org with diversity in the mission, they DO NOT care about organizational diversity. Do not expect equity if you belong to an underrepresented group.
