Pros
People were good to work with. The company became geared towards modernizing and improving legacy systems that, while working fairly well, needed upgrading. The severance package was fair by today's standards, though, in truth, I would have loved to have stayed and helped with the next phases.
Cons
I feel they could have provided more opportunity to train people in-house to move on to the next phases, but, I understand why outsourcing was done instead. If I'd had a positive direction as to what to train in, I would have pursued that (I'd trained before at both at my own expense and the company's). Some of the server apps did not work as quickly and efficiently as expected, but that can be fixed over time.
