They provide energy to othe greatest city in the world which makes it worth while to work for them. There are several job locations within the city where a employee can choose to work in a convenient place for them. As far as growth opportunity there are always jobs being posted for current employees to fill. The environment of employees makes it a place of work yet fun.
Cons
Some of the downsides of working at Con Ed is that It is a very large company has too many things going on. There is lots of work to be done. Also there is too many old knowledgable guys that are retiring without passing the knowledge to enough younger employees. So alot of the information needed to work is hard to attain. The company has a lot of policies that needs to be followed because it is a big company. They also require yearly tests for safety knowledge and such. You have to work from 7AM which is very early.
