Pros
The team environment is fantastic. You learn a lot about fraud and the handling of cases. It's very busy so day gets in quick. The hours are in shift patterns 9 to 6, 7:45 to 4:45, 11:15 to 8:15pm
Cons
You have line managers who are responsible for clocking your hours . I booked and had annual leave confirmed in April , this was not clocked by line manager. I was off for a bereavement then taken to disciplinary even though my line manager knew I was going to be there and said I could have day off. Your only given a 10 minute comfort break for your whole shift. The pay doesn't reflect the work you do. It's underpaid and not in line with other government caseworkers. The contracts are temporary/permanent which means you can loose your job at any time
