Pros
I've been the Director of Fitness and Recreation for the past 25 years and I wouldn't have stayed here if I didn't enjoy the company or the members. Sand Creek has had 4 different owners during my time here and although management has changed, our overall goal has not changed. Upper management has giving me the tools to be successful in operating my departments and providing the members with the club experience they are wanting.
Cons
Every job has ups and downs and thankfully over my past 25 years there have been more ups then downs. Cons of working with a large parent company is that programs that work for one club in a different demographics might not work for all clubs. Although, we can customize their programs to fit our club's needs, it's sometimes difficult to explain why we need to modify. However, some of the new programs are a welcome site when you try to come up with new ideas after being here for 25 years.
