Pros
Faculty and staff teamwork makes it survivable.
Cons
Administration focuses on money much more than students. They admit people with minimal potential for success in academics. Students and their families take out huge loans because tuition is so expensive. Faculty sign contracts and work many extra hours without adequate compensation. Some campus presidents don't have a bachelor's degree in anything. There aren't enough funds in the budget for all faculty to attend professional development conferences. There is no path for career development. There is minimal room for instructors to contribute to class content due to corporate control or syllabi. If students need extra tutoring faculty may have to build these sessions into their already busy schedule.
