Pros

Working in the comfort of your own home.

Cons

Expected to reach top metrics with below-average training and instructions. Most of the supervisors have a daily power trip and it shows through their communication with employees and teammates whether through one-on-one messaging for team group chats. The turnover is insanely high due to micromanagement and all over the place "direction". The pay, that's a whole other story of chaos as you're hourly for so long and then changed over to "ABC pay" which means Achievement Based Compensation aka different pay rates (ranging from less than a cent to a little more than a cent) for each transaction type, depending on speed, quality, type of document completed. It's nearly impossible to forecast what your earned wages will be once you've switched to ABC pay. If your metrics aren't superior as to expectations, expect to make less money and a horrible time getting back to good pay status.

Pros

The only real advantage is the ability to work from home. My trainers were knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely tried to help despite the limitations of the training program.

Cons

The training is far too rushed for the complexity of the job. The trainers themselves are not the problem—they did their best—but two weeks of training followed by one week of nesting is simply not enough. You're expected to learn numerous systems, document calls accurately, understand complex fraud procedures, and handle back-to-back calls from frustrated or angry customers with very little hands-on practice. There wasn't enough call shadowing or realistic mock calls to build confidence before taking live calls. The learning curve is overwhelming, and the high turnover rate reflects that. On top of that, the pay does not match the stress, workload, or expectations of the position.
