Pros

I think one of, if not the only, good things about this place is having the name on your resume. Condé Nast means something especially on a resume. Also, there are so many talented and influential people here, and I'm not just talking AW (although she obviously is one), but it inspires you to want to work here. You meet even the most junior of people and hear what they're doing/working on and you're just in such awe. But that may be the only good thing.

Cons

-No work/life balance, especially for those on the edit side -There's no real training given here. Even the head of HR stated that Condé Nast has a culture of not training people. They'd rather have people go someplace else and get experience and then return rather than have people stay and actually support/develop/train them (shows just how much they invest in their people...aka they don't) -Pretty bureaucratic (but its corporate, so that's expected) -it amazes me how obsessed CN is with millennials, all we talked about was millennials and going digital, and how we need to listen to what millennials want as their demographic is really growing in power.....yet management would disregard, and I mean not even make an attempt, to listen to the suggestions of their millennial employees. I mean come on, we know what our generation wants better than you and yet you don't even attempt to listen to/hear what we have to say. -Pay is HORRENDOUS. Starting salary for Sales Assistants is $28k.....publishing is notorious for underpaying but that's just ridiculous. You'd have to work yourself into crazy OT just to make a normal salary...and even then some brands won't allow you to work OT. HR claims there's just no budget to pay people more but yet you hear the whispers of what some of the execs (EIC, Publishers, C-Suite) make and it really makes you question the distribution of wealth.

Pros

You’re wealthy enough to be relaxed, but not wealthy enough to be careless.

Cons

but NYC’s costs prevent true luxury unless income is much higher.

Pros

Great to be in proximity to such amazing brands like Vogue, Vanity Fair and the New Yorker

Cons

Pay is absolutely criminal unless you're "bonus eligible." Another billion dollar company crying poverty. Also, absolutely zero possibility of advancement.
