Most of IT is out of state.

A number of capable and well meaning employees are as helpful as management allows them to be. The union employees enjoy better treatment than middle management.

The lack of training and transfer of institutional knowledge engendered by multiple acquisitions by greedy out-of-state (or country) acquisitions have poised a once-great company for a serious setback that even its monopoly status will be unable to fully mitigate. Management morale is at an all-time low. Those able to take an early retirement (union and management) are doing so and are not being replaced until after they are gone, if at all.
