It is wonderful when one experiences team momentum. Working hard has merits, but let’s not underestimate the value of playing smart and having fun. Enthusiasm is contagious. It fosters an environment that is inclusive, motivating and open to an exchange of ideas regardless of ones tenure with the organization.
The very foundation of sales performance involves setting clear, credible and measurable goals. We are of the opinion that we’ve established relevant objectives coupled realistic performance standards based on an account manager’s tenure with Connection. Whether keeping abreast of trends the marketplace, formulating pricing strategies or conducting a training on building account loyalty, sales managers equip account managers with the tools necessary to attain the desired results.
You are correct in stating there is an opportunity for improved communication between departments. Keeping other departments informed of developments that affect their functions is critical in order for Connection to sustain success in a highly competitive environment. Earlier this year, we successfully launched SalesHub, an internal platform encouraging collaboration and affording interdepartmental transparency, and BuzzHive, an employee communication platform designed to engage and inform employees about current and future developments.
