Working as a document review attorney at Consilio was, overall, a frustrating and unstable experience. The biggest issue is the lack of job security. Some team leads are organized and communicative, but others are unresponsive or unclear with instructions, which creates unnecessary confusion—especially when deadlines are tight and expectations are high. Feedback is minimal, and when it does come, it’s often inconsistent. The work itself is repetitive, as expected in document review, but what makes it worse is the pressure to maintain high speeds without sacrificing accuracy, all while navigating ever-changing protocols. Training is often rushed or insufficient, making it harder to feel confident in your work. Pay is low for the industry and overtime opportunities can be inconsistent or suddenly cut off. There’s also a noticeable lack of transparency around project duration, extensions, and selection for future work.
