Cons
Poor work-life balance: Working 10–12 hour days became the expectation rather than the exception. Over time, it wasn't sustainable and made it difficult to maintain a healthy balance outside of work.
Lack of clear direction: Priorities shifted frequently, and leadership wasn't always aligned, which made it hard to know what to focus on or feel confident that the work we were doing would remain a priority.
Limited growth opportunities: It often felt like there wasn't a clear path for growth or advancement. Even when taking on more responsibility and performing well, next steps were not clear.
Limited ownership and slow execution: So much of the work required cross-functional alignment that it became difficult to truly own a project from start to finish. Decisions took a long time, momentum was often lost, and accountability became diluted.
Inappropriate workplace culture: Professional boundaries were not always respected, and experiences with harassment and other inappropriate workplace behavior changed how I viewed the organization’s culture.
