Pros
As a customer support rep your job will be speaking with older folks about their smartphone operation, their service plan and their bill. The majority of employees at CC have an abundance of patience and enjoy helping older, non-technical customers, which means the overwhelming majority of employees are really wonderful people. The more you know about using your smartphone the better you will do at this job. The company gives you ample time to learn the job and get comfortable at it before they start holding you to metrics. You will find the metrics very easy to satisfy and if for any reason you have trouble meeting the numbers they will give you plenty of time to improve. As with all call centers attendence is important. If you manage to show up everyday this is an easy gig with okay pay. If you actually try hard you will get pay increases and promotions almost automatically. The equipment they provide you with to work from home is excellent.
Cons
The toughest part of the job is troubleshooting technical issues with older customers that are using a smartphone for the first time. Other than the usual cons that you will find at any call center, (supervisors with personality issues, strict attendence policies, etc), Consumer Cellular is pretty cool place to work.
