Good, stable company to work for no matter what the economic climate is. - Administrative (non-Union) Consumers Energy Employee Review

Pros

Pay, Benefits, Location, the People. Very generous vacation after the first year, plus you can purchase additional vacation time.

Cons

The first year you don't get much vacation. It's dependent on when you were hired, and then a 3-month probation, and then it's prorated from that point to the end of the year. Ex.: if you're hired in April, you'd only get 2.5 days for the remainder of that year. Also, they phased out the traditional pension for new hires.
