Pros

Parental leave- 4 months for fathers, nearly 6 months for birthing mothers.

Cons

I’ve worked at this company for 6 years now, the longest I’ve ever been at a company. I’ve worked in different areas of the company. The quality of your direct supervisor varies widely. It’s an honest gamble if you’re getting a good manager or not. I’ve seen managers who should have been fired for harassment, but still work here, even after they were reported. Garrick, the current CEO is running the company into the ground. I miss Patti, our old CEO every single day. Retiring all of our coal plants and replacing with renewables is extremely risky. Especially in such a short time frame. And pushing customers to use less energy. Garrick’s clearly a do as I say or else kinda guy. As others have said, everyone was forced to return to the office or leave. After previously being told we could stay working from home after the pandemic, or that we could move out of state , and many out of state folks were hired during the pandemic. It’s a mess right now, as many people are leaving, and there’s no plan on what to do about the work they used to do. But you can bet those who remain will have to shoulder the weight of the work everyone who left has to do. And the utter disregard for how this has impacted the employees is shameful. The company-wide Teams call when the return to office mandate happened was the most tone deaf joke of a conversation I’ve ever seen. These are real people’s lives they’re messing with. People with families. The company has truly showed its cards-people are expendable. I also echo the other reviews about the uselessness of HR. Or People and Culture as they are now known. The pay increase freeze, and job reclassifications with no pay adjustment is a joke. People get title changes with no compensation change. As long as Garrick is at the helm, I honestly would not apply here. It’s a darn shame too. All the work Patti did to build the culture up is gone. It used to be a great place to work
