Pros

There are no pros to working here.

Cons

The entire management team, all the way up to and absolutely including the CEO, is the worst I have ever dealt with. It is run so poorly, and instead of taking a step back and reevaluating their business operations, they added more routes for the crews and planes to fly. You will consistently work every minute of your 14 hour duty day for each day you're on, and with that expect exactly 10 hours of rest. Company morale was at an all time low when I quit. The writing is on the wall!

Pros

As a mechanic, you have job security. The planes break down constantly due to band-aid repairs to make the next flight.

Cons

The airline's customer reviews are a direct reflection of the upper management. They do not care about you or your time. If the plane isn't fixed, you're not leaving. You can leave work after a 20-hour shift, and they expect you to be back on-site in 4-6 hours. Mx planning has no clue what they are doing, and Mx control knows it. They will schedule every inspection for one day because it makes their jobs easier. They have no clue what the inspections they schedule actually entail or how long they take. They will not tell you that your time off is vested only. If you accept the job in January, you will not have any vacation days to use for the entire year. If you accept the job in November, you will have the days earned from Nov - Dec to use the following year. Have kids? Don't worry, they won't hesitate to call you into work at 4 am on Christmas Day.
