Pros
-Deaf Centric -Great callers -Great co-workers -Supports deaf business -Takes feedback/always open to suggestions -LGBTQ friendly -used to have plenty of time between calls which justifies pay rate. No longer the case. -We stay because we believe in what convo was and can be again.
Cons
-I got a mere one dollar pay raise for certification -They are no longer doing differentials despite increase in call volume - at-home workers can only process US calls. Meaning that all in-center workers are processing Canadian calls more most of the shift which is taxing. -We no longer have longer times between calls. With this, continued low pay rates, and no differentials, it’s made it very taxing on the interpreters. -My center has not had a manager on site for several months.
