Pros

NOTHING specific to the hospital itself.

Cons

$5 behind in market value, 0 true incentives for your work, TRUE LACK OF SUPPORT TO PERFORM PATIENT CARE SAFELY & APPROPRIATELY. HIGH turnover everywhere in hospital. No reward/recognition to be a top performer. Raises are labeled as Merit, but everyone gets standard 3% raise. LPN's not respected as working as hard as RN's. Upper mgmt will visit once in a blue moon, but doesn't listen to what's truly wrong, and what would fix it, to improve patient care, working conditions, and decrease turnover. Keep blaming everything on COVID. They don't listen to their core physicians or long-standing trustworthy practitioners. Have had high turnover in APRN's to competing hospital network within 25 mile radius. Upper mgmt continues negligently misrepresent hospital morale. Meanwhile upper turns their heads when mid-level mgmt continually asks for help. Continual fraudulent activity regardless of exponential growth in complaints reported by employees and patients as well. Most of us truly do our jobs for the sake of taking care of our patients. That is our calling. It is terribly discouraging and demoralizing. Magnet status???

Pros

Work peers are most amazing

Cons

-Communication is lacking -work/life balance is hard to achieve -management does not value or respect scrub techs -Quit giving merit raises; only give out COLA raises every few years -Vacation/time off is not approved until mere weeks before making it hard to plan time with family and time away from work -Always understaffing so patient care suffers -Plays favorites with patients (certain patients get better care than others) -Management also plays favorites -Zero consistency in how staffing is handled -Have to work with subpar/broken equipment because it won't get approved by admins, but pays 1-Mill for sim lab -overall this administration does not care about their staff or patients, I honestly do not know how they "win" the awards they do. It is not and has not been the "best place to work" in many years....
