Pros
If you're on the right team, it's a great place to work. Your team (and manager) play a key role in this though. There's a lot of work to improve the company. The company has a good mission and purpose. The people care about the work and each other. There are opportunities to work with a variety of people, cultures, etc. Salaries are higher for the area, too.
Cons
It is a good place to work, but no company is perfect. There is a lack of accountability for many people, an old boys-club culture still exists in many ways, lack of clear growth opportunities/leadership training. HR processes take a long time and because there aren't clear growth pathways, raises are variable.
