Pros

Most co-workers were hard working, team players, made work enjoyable. Overtime was great and benefits were good.

Cons

Poor cooperate decisions to save money. Laid off people, added more work to current employees. Some management not clinical so had no clue how to operate the business. Systems were unbearable to deal with: No money put into good quality health care based systems to enhance; patient care turnaround time, adjudication of claims completely missing, not working properly (daily). Caused more stress on employees rather than creating a more efficient patient care system and business structure. If you have a death in your family, they are more worried about when you will return rather than being sincere for your loss. If you give 2 weeks notice, retaliation occurs from management. What starts out as a great work environment, ends with every employee being disgruntled, stressed, and having no work-life balance. No good leadership in place, and poor choices of management really hurt this company. Lead-time is expected but not understood how difficult it is to obtain with very low quality systems, poor management (or overworked mgmt), and constant staff turnover. Basically, unrealistic expectations for staff in unrealistic situations.
