Pros
Weekends off, decent pay, decent benefits.
Cons
Being a CSS is horrible, you are thrown in to work with no formal training. Everyone has their own method of doing things, so there is constant errors and miscommunication. All parts of the branch rely on you and you are constantly being asked for something from the branch manager, the pharmacists, the mixing room, the nurses, and the warehouse. You are also bombarded with hundreds of emails asking about things you have no clue about. Pharmacists are lazy and want to do the bare minimum, you have to ask all day long for something to be taken out of review even though they are rushing you to have it dispensed and delivered. All they care about are new admits and will ignore everything else not pertaining to them regardless of how important something may be. I have personally been yelled at, ridiculed, and scolded in front of the whole office and went home crying on many occasions and most of my coworkers have experienced the same. All employees are extremely stressed and overworked and even when you come in the building in good spirits, it instantly is overshadowed by the overwhelmingly bad energy. If you want to get your foot in the door, especially as a mixer, I would recommend this place, but as a permanent career….it’s a definite no.
